The annual Education Awards were held on 20 January 2008 and we are pleased to congratulate all those who passed their GCSE Gujarati and Hinduism exams, as well as those who graduated or attained a further education/professional qualification in 2007.

The GCSE Gujarati 2007 results were one of the best set of results that we have achieved at the Gujarati School - we had 4 Grade A*'s, 4 Grade A's, 9 Grade B's, and only one Grade C. We would like to thank all the teaching staff at the Gujarati School that helped prepare the pupils in achieving this success.

Special recognition was given to Mr Bhimjibhai Vekaria SBStJ (Serving Brother of the Most Venerable Order of St John of Jerusalem), of the Metropolitan Police force, who was given a special award last year from the Queen for his services to the community.

The event was a great success and we wish all those who were awarded for their achievements all the best in there future careers.
