Utpatti Ekadashi - Monday 3rd December

Arjun asked Bhagwan Shree Krishna, "O Shree Krishna! You are omniscient. You are the fountainhead of all the scriptures. O Narayan! You are supreme Bhagwan of all universes. What is the origin of Vrat of Ekadashi? How should one observe its Vrat and what is the reward of this Vrat? Who else has observed this Vrat in the bygone era? Please answer these questions in detail."

Shree Krishna replied, "O Arjun! Listen very intently to this Katha, which has the capacity to wash away all sins. I shall narrate the legend behind the Vrat of Ekadashi. This Ekadashi (falling in the dark fortnight Vad Paksha of Kartik) is called Utpatti Ekadashi and observing its Vrat, including fasting on this day, augments one's Bhakti and wealth."
Bhagwan Shree Krishna narrated the legend of how Ekadashi was born from His ten senses and mind in the form of a maiden and beheaded a demon called Mur and saved the world from a grave calamity.

Important parking information reminder

Diwali parking arrangements have been made to accommodate devotees on New Years Day. Please proceed to temple through Willesden Lane onto Deerhurst Road and drop-off passengers outside the temple. Parking Stewards will give further instructions on parking. Please be aware no parking should be made on resident bays including bays on Chatsworth Road between the hours of 10.00am and 15.00pm. 

We would like to request devotees to use public transport & car share where possible.

PashanKusha Ekadashi - Aso Sud Ekadashi

King Yudhishthir asked Bhagwan, "O Shree Krishna! Please tell me the name and significance of the Ekadashi that falls in the Sud fortnight of Aso."

Shree Krishna Bhagwan replied, "O king! This Ekadashi is known as 'PashanKusha Ekadashi', Vrat of which dispels all sins. Bhagwan Narayan's another form, Bhagwan Padnabh should be worshipped on this Ekadashi.
