Achievement Awards & 10th Anniversary of Bal Kendra

On Sunday 25th January 2015, we will be honouring those that passed their Gujarati GCSE or graduated from university in 2014. The Awards Ceremony will commence at 5.30pm.

We are also celebrating the 10th Anniversary of our Bal Kendra. Bal Kendra will have a short performance after the Awards Ceremony.

Bal Kendra runs every Saturday from 5pm - 7pm in the Wedding Hall and is for kids aged 4 to 7. More information on what happens at Bal Kendra can be found by clicking here. 

Eclipse

On Friday 20th March 2015, there will be a solar eclipse. 

Eclipse Starts: 08:26AM
Eclipse Ends : 10:41AM
No food should be consumed after 08:30PM on 19th March 2015 
These timings are for London only and may vary around the UK.

This years solar eclipse is a rare event where the moon will pass directly between the Sun and the Earth. It will plunge Britain into twilight for two hours. The last time UK had such an eclipse it was 15 years ago.

There will also be a Supermoon in the evening, which is the moon getting the closest it can to Earth, making it seem larger.

Experts have warned it is extremely dangerous to look at the Sun during the eclipse - even briefly as it can lead to burns at the back of the eye. Even selfies pose a risk, as you may keep glancing directly at the Sun to ensure you are aligned. Sunglasses also do not offer protection. 

SFL Open Day

The beautiful game is loved by the country all over. It's no different for us here at SSTW which is why we created "SFL" - an opportunity to play our favourite sport with our fellow brothers in an environment that's enjoyable, educational and most important free of charge. Youths can develop their skills and most importantly keep a healthy, active lifestyle.
